Chris completed his undergraduate degree with a B.A. in the General Program of Liberal Studies at the University of Notre Dame in 1983 and received his law degree from Notre Dame Law School in 1986.

Since 1994 Chris has provide legal and consulting services in a variety of areas. He has lead strategic and business planning processes for businesses and nonprofit organizations, provided fund raising consulting for nonprofit organizations, engaged in executive coaching for executives in the for profit and nonprofit sectors, lead search processes for executive leadership positions and worked with organizations in a vast array of leadership and management consulting roles.

Chris recently worked with Rare Coin Consultants of America, developing a strategic and business plan to assess the potential for a new division focused on investment in rare coins as an asset class.  Marketing and community assessment disclosed strong interest; however, the faltering economy indicated that pursuit of the business created some risk.  As a result of a thorough business planning process, the company made the decision to maintain its current core competency, placing plans for expansion on hold.

Prior to Rare Coin Consultants of America, Chris spent almost 5 years as the Executive Director and General Counsel for the American Numismatic Association, a national nonprofit educational organization that encourages and educates people to study and collect money and related items. As a part of his job, Chris directed a staff of more than 35 employees and more than 200 active volunteers in all areas of the business operations. He was responsible for a $6.5 million operating budget including museum and library operations, educational programs, sales and marketing, conventions, publications and membership.  Chris’ role with the ANA lead to his role with the San Francisco Museum & Historical Society assisting with fundraising, business planning and execution for a new museum experience in the Bay area incorporating San Francisco history and numismatics as a portal to myriad experiences bringing history and money to life for museum visitors.

Chris’ entrepreneurial spirit has been evidenced by his work with organizations (both for profit and nonprofit) focused on developing a vision and mission with the planning and execution to realize their goals and objectives. In advancing initiatives, Chris works with his clients to develop partnerships that will benefit all involved through the power of combined resources. Chris brings that spirit of entrepreneurship and a can do attitude to all of his consulting roles.

From 1986-2002, Chris served as an attorney in private practice emphasizing representation of education, healthcare, nonprofit, amateur sports and public entities regarding their varying legal needs including general business, governance, ethics, employment and policy development. This background allows Chris to bring a unique perspective to his consulting practice, combining legal skills with his leadership and planning skills to benefit the organizations with which he works.

Chris has provided countless volunteer hours in his community through his service on numerous nonprofit Boards of Directors.  He served as Board Chair for the Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce and as Board Chair for the Center for Nonprofit Excellence.  Among many other boards, Chris has served on the Pikes Peak Library District Board, the Colorado State Quarter Commission and the Boards of the Industry Council for Tangible Assets, The Colorado College Business Advisory Council, Junior Achievement of Southern Colorado and the Better Business Bureau® of the Pikes Peak Region.
